Pier to Pier run 2008

Important note regarding Pier to Pier race 2008

Last year was out biggest ever Pier to Pier run and had 656 entries before the closing date and a further 112 late entries on the day for a total of 768 entrants.
In comparison, this year, with 2 days to go before the closing date and 40 entries arriving per day, we have already exceeded 800 entrants and fully expect 850+ by the final close of postal entries.

The fleeces are custom ordered and we cannot get more made in time for the race.

As a result we are having to limit entries on the day.

All entries recieved by the closing date will be honoured in full.
However, entries received on the day can not be guaranteed to receive a fleece at the end of the race. To compensate for this, runners will be offerred cut price entry to the race and will be eligible for everything other competitors get but will receive a beach towel (from a previous Pier to Pier) or some other gift at the end.

The exact price of entry for the non-fleece number will be set later.

Sorry for any disappointment this might cause but we just could not have predicted the near 30% increase in entrants this year.

The Pier to Pier run 2008 will take place on Sunday 18th May 2008 at 10am.

The entry forms have been printed and most clubs and previous years' runners will be sent a few. If you can't wait then you can download the forms from links below.

The entry form contains most of the information about the race and information sheet will be included with your race number when it is sent out giving any extra instructions for the day.

### a note about postage ###

when sending entries and the SAE for return of number, it must have the correct postage. We will not pay the surcharge if postage is insufficient and if the SAE has no stamp or wrong amount it will be posted but there could be a delay and you will incur the surcharge on receipt.
