Race Diary
This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of races. It is intended to be a list of races which may be of interest to Strollers either because the race is in our Club Championship or Summer Handicap, or because interest has been expressed by other Strollers in doing these.
August
Phoenix Long O's August 30th/31st, Fell running weekend away in the Cheviots
September
Billingham 10k Sun 7th September. Championship
1 mile time trial Wed. 10th September. Championship
Luxembourg Half Marathon Fri.26th to Mon.29th September. This is planned as our trip abroad for 2003. The coach will leave early on Friday 26th and will return on Monday 29th. The race, which is optional, is on Sunday. Expected cost is around £200 per person and includes transport, hotel and race entry. We need names of those interested ASAP so proper plans can be made. Contact Dicka or Mickey if interested. Bring the wife/husband/friend for a nice weekend away.
Stanhope Common Fell Race Sun. Sept 28th. 10 mile, 1500 feet. A moderate fell race which most fit Strollers could manage. If you want a bit more of a challenge than just running along a road, give this one a try. See Ken or Ray for details.
